Wild wine
Although it is based on the historical facts surrounding the attack of April 16, 1925, the novel "Wild Wine" by Dimitar Shumnaliev categorically goes beyond their limits and unfolds in a large-scale picture of human characters, relationships, attitudes and actions, including many seemingly side characters and details that turn out to be key and enrich the story emotionally. In it, Dimitar Shumnaliev's mastery of combining historical accuracy, a fascinating plot full of twists, unusual characters, fine details, natural dialogue, rich colorful language is revealed to the highest degree. His imagination knows no bounds. People, nature and objects exist and act in symbiosis, immersed in an almost magical environment, according to incredible, but perfectly logical-sounding laws. The text provokes, captivates, provokes and however incredible it sounds at times, remains aesthetically complete.
